Mizuo Peck was born on August 18, 1977, in New York City, New York, to George Leete Peck and Sanae Mizusawa. She spent most of her childhood in New York. Peck attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, graduating in 1995. She continued her education at the State University of New York at Purchase, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Theatre from the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory in 1999.

Early Acting Career and Theatre Involvement

Peck's passion for acting began at a young age. She joined TADA!, a professional children's theater company in New York City, at age 11 and remained active there until she was 14. Her stage experience there laid the foundation for her future in performance.

Breakthrough and Film Roles

Peck made her film debut in 2000, playing the character Maggie in the independent movie Nicht Helen, Husky (translated as Winter of Regret). She followed this with a series of film appearances. Notable credits include:
