Mizuo Peck

Born on August 18, 1977, to father George Leete Peck and mother Sanae Mizusawa in New York City, New York, Mizuo Peck spent most of her childhood in New York. She completed her schooling from the Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music and Performing Arts in the year 1995. She then went on to receive her BFA in theatre from the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory in the year 1999. From her father’s side, she is of English, Irish and Cherokee descent, but from her mother’s side, she is of Japanese descent.

Her interest in acting began at the very young age, and she started doing theatre at the age of 11 while being a part of TADA! , a professional children’s theatre company. She remained a part of TADA! until the age of 14. The turning point in her career was when she got her first movie role in the year 2000 when she was cast for the portrayal of Maggie in the movie Nicht Helen, Husky, which means Winter of Regret. She then went on to do many movies and television series. Her most popular role until now is when she portrayed the role of Sacagawea in the hit movie Night at the Museum in 2006, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian in 2009 and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb in 2014. She has also done many other movies which include Scenes of Crime where she portrayed the role of Sharon in 2001, Magritte Moment where she played the role of Karen in 2008, Almost in Love where she played Kiko in 2011 and A Case of You where she played Jemily in 2013. She has also done many television series which includes Witchblade where she appeared as Mija Woo in the year 2002, All My Children where she played the role of Tia in the year 2003 and Law and Order: Criminal Intent where she portrayed the role of Sheila in 2006.

She has also been seen in a few music videos which include The Girl at the Bottom of the World, a music video by Thee Shambel in the year 2013 and The Way, a music video by Clay Aiken. She also has done many commercials and campaigns for big names like Suave, Kitchen Aid, Levi’s, Verizon, Oil of Olay and Blue Cross Blue Shield. She also worked for Stitch N’ Bitch: The Knitter’s Handbook as a model. She also had an article published in the Vapors Magazine. In the year 1995, she was also photographer for French Vogue by the highly acclaimed photographer Bruce Weber. She again worked with Bruce Weber in the year 1997 for the cover of L’uomo Vogue.

Currently, she is said to be living in Manhattan with her husband Jeffrey Shagawat, who is a photographer. There is no information about their wedding date or any former boyfriend.
