Born on the 17th of October 1980 as Nicholas Scott Cannon, he is the son of a California-based couple Beth and James Cannon. His mother was an accountant and father a motivational speaker. Cannon had a healthy family upbringing and is quite close to his grandfather. Nick did his graduation from the Monte Vista High School located in Spring Valley, California. He had a keen interest in playing football and comedy. Nick did his maiden stand-up comedy act for the local cable tv where his father used to perform.
His biography reveals that, after graduation, Nick got a chance play side comedian for studio audience at Nickelodeon in Los Angeles. Later he joined a teen group of African- American people and they collaborated for a comedy program for local cable. Here Nick worked backstage and hence got interested in behind the camera work. Rapping was also one of the talents of Cannon and he did in his teens with the group "Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad.” Nick in the year 2001 signed a contract with Hive records for rapping the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
Later he released his maiden album in the year 2003, it was named "Your Pops Don't Like Me (I Really Don't Like This Dude)". Since then he has been working actively in the rapping and acting industry. It was in the year 2005, Nick came up with his own recording label and named it Can-I-Ball Records which was changed to N'Credible Entertainment in the year 2009. He released his songs through this label, the songs include "Can I Live?", "Slick Nick", and Child of the Corn. In the year 2013, Nick came up with "Me Sexy", his new single, and later a new studio album titled White People Party Music. The album featured other eminent artists like Afrojack, Pitbull, Future and Polow da Don.
Nick is also as successful host ad has hosted various programs like Wild 'N Out, Nickelodeon's 2005 Kids' Choice Awards, America's Got Talent, Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest and Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon. Nick also hosted radio shows for 92.3 NOW FM (WXRK-FM) in New York and the CBS Radio. Cannon also ventured into business and currently he is the chairman of Teenkick. He also acts as a consultant of creative and development branch of Nickelodeon network.
Nick’s personal life has been an open book. He dated the famous singer Mariah Carey and later got married to her in the Bahamas. Nick’s wife gave birth to twins. These kids are named Monroe (daughter) and Moroccan Scott (son). The couple slowly moved away and the separation was mainly seen from Mariah’s side. They got an official divorce in 2016 , however, Nick still maintains that he is deeply in love with Mariah and thankful to her for bringing their children to the world.
