Rachel Brosnahan was born on December 15, 1990, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rachel Brosnahan was the oldest offspring of three to a British mother and an American father who worked at a children's organization. Brought up in Highland Park, Illinois, Brosnahan started demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for acting subsequent to performing in musicals at Northwood Junior High School. The maturing actress went to Broadway boot camp as an adolescent and graduated from Highland Park High School before completing her education at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2012.
While in high school, Brosnahan made her film debut in Michael Bay's thriller The Unborn in 2009. From that point, she appeared in little roles on different network TV programs like Gossip Girl, CSI: Miami, In Treatment, The Good Wife, and Orange Is the New Black before landing repeating roles on shows like The Black List and House of Cards. In the film industry, Brosnahan started getting genuine notice in 2013 when she featured in the film Beautiful Creatures, playing a role opposite of Emma Thompson, Emmy Rossum, and Jeremy Irons.
The actress assumed the role of Abby Isaacs in WGN America's Manhattan and the character Ellie in Woody Allen's Crisis in Six Scenes. Roused by the lives of trailblazing comediennes Joan Rivers and Totie Fields, the show was a hit for Amazon, and Brosnahan would end up winning a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award for her work on the series.
In September 2019, at the 2019 Emmy Awards show, Rachel was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series because of her performance in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
