In 2007, Wilson hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live, becoming the second cast member from The Office to do so, following Steve Carell. Additionally, he took part in a promotional role as "Jim Mike," relationship manager for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team during the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Personal Life and Beliefs

Wilson is married to writer Holiday Reinhorn, whom he met during an acting class in college. They were wed on the banks of the Kalama River in Washington. The couple has one son, Walter McKenzie Wilson, born in 2004. They reside in Agoura Hills, California, and also own a home near Sisters, Oregon.

The family are active members of the Baháʼí Faith. Among their pets are three pit bulls—Pilot, Barry, and Oona—and a zonkey named Derek. In 2009, a short film inspired by Wilson’s character in The Office was selected for screening at the Dawn Breakers International Film Festival in Zurich, reflecting aspects of his Baháʼí beliefs.

In a 2008 appearance on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, Wilson described himself as a politically diverse independent. He stated that he has voted for candidates from the Democratic, Green, and Republican parties.
