Sam Ryan

Sam Ryan is a sportscaster and had an MLB Network from 2011. She studied at New York Institute of Technology and he majored in the communication of Hofstra University.  She started to work at the MLB Network at Studio Host and she was the reporter in September 2011 for game productions Quick Pitch and The Rundown of MLB Network She also worked for CBS Sports, ESPN, WABC-TV, Fox Sports NY, ABC Radio Network, WFAN and WVIT. She was given the Emmy Award in the category of outstanding series Feature-Soft in the year 1999 and for a local AP Award of 2000.

Sam Ryan is the veteran in the TV and Radio industries and she covered the biggest events for over 20 years in her career. From 2006, she became the sports anchor during the evenings for the WCBS-TV. In the summer in 2009, she was about to retire  since she said that she had to do many things like working for 4 nights at the Channel 2, the weekend duties at CBS College Sports and what it is more important, taking care of two children with her husband Jeff.   However, since WCBC was not willing to lose a talented sportscaster, they tried everything they can so that she can stay.  She agreed that she can adjust the contract and to start working on short schedule.  She said that she never thought about it since she thought that a person is either a main sport anchor or a weekend anchor.

Sam Ryan is present at WCBS from Monday until Wednesday night and the other days are for Otis Livingston.  She is a valuable member of the CBS2 sports team and everyone was happy to stay with her. When she started, she was in the news but since she was a sport fan, she turned to start doing the sports. At that time, there were not that many women who are sport casting at that time.

Sam Ryan got valuable lessons by watching important tv shows from well known sportscaster and she gained her own experience on ABC sports which is invaluable experience. She was the Monday Night Football and he was a sideline reporter in the place of Michele Tafoya who was on the maternity leave. After four years at the network, she was added as on air rosters of ESPN.  Sam Ryan was required to travel a lot and she said that it was not a problem when she was alone since it is manageable when she was still single but everything changed when she got married and she had children.  For her, her family is the first priority and it is something which is closer to her heart and it was why she became the spokesperson of March of Dimes.
