Early Life and Background

Scarlett Sigourney Moffatt was born on October 17, 1990, in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England. Before gaining fame in the television industry, she worked as a supermarket cashier. Moffatt also trained in ballroom and Latin dance from a young age, competing in various local and national competitions. At age 11, she was involved in a serious car accident, which resulted in her developing Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes temporary facial paralysis.

Television Career and Rise to Fame

Moffatt’s first television appearance came in 2013 when she was featured on MTV's reality series Beauty School Cop Outs. In 2014, she rose to national recognition after joining Channel 4’s hit show Gogglebox alongside her parents. Her quick wit and relatable commentary made her a fan favorite.

Her breakout came in 2016 when she competed in the sixteenth series of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. Scarlett won the series, earning widespread public admiration and solidifying her place in British popular culture.
