Thomas Edward Sizemore was born on 29th of November 1961 in Detroit, Michigan, USA in a big family with three brothers: Paul, Charlie and Aaron. His mother Judith was an ombudsman, and his father Thomas was a lawyer. He started his education at the Michigan State University but after one year he left it to join to Wayne State University. At the Wayne State University he also has studied for only one year, and in 1986 he finally got his master’s degree theatre from Temple University. After graduating, Tom moved to New York City, where he hoped to put into practice his acting skills.
Initially in Ney York he waited tables in order to get some money, and at the same time tried himself in different plays. And eventually in 1989 he received from Oliver Stone an invitation to play in Sizemore’s first film Born on the Fourth of July. Since this part, Tom Sizemore has started professional career as an actor. In that same year he played in Blue Steel, Lock Up, Rude Awakening, Penn & Teller Get Killed.
But real fame has come to Sizemore in 1990s. He played in Guilty by Suspicion (1991) along with Robert De Niro, True Romance (1993) with Brad Pitt, Striking Distance (1993) with Bruce Willis. In 1994 he got a part of Bat Masterson in semi-biographical western film Wyatt Earp where he starred with Kevin Costner. 1994 year brought him another famous role of Detective Jack Scagnetti in Oliver Stone’s satirical black comedy crime film Natural Born Killers.
1995 was also very tense year, Tom played in neo-noir mystery film Devil in a Blue Dress with Denzel Washington, science fiction thriller Strange Days and crime film Heat. His popularity grew very fast and every single year he starred in movies, films, TV series and so on, including Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Pearl Harbor (2001).
Apart from acting career, he voiced Sonny Forelli in a popular video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Also Tom Sizemore was interested in music. In 2002 he with his friends created rock band "The Bystanders" where he was a front man. Then they changed the name of band to Day 8 and recorded their EP.
