Anthony’s first marriage was to Becky Robbins in 1982. It was the third marriage for Becky and she brought five children from a previous relationship. Becky was also 11 years Anthony’s senior. Anthony was content just being in a relationship with her, but he married her to make her happy. He didn’t need the contract to solidify his relationship, but Becky. So, according to Anthony, he married Becky at her request.

He went into the marriage with high hopes of becoming the perfect husband. He fully embraced the duties of not only husband, but also as father to his new stepchildren. He went through the motions everyday and was fully involved as the children grew. As time passed and the children grew into adults he realized that he and Becky had different views of their future. Becky was content with a stable, predictable and very traditional lifestyle. Whereas, Anthony was more of a risk taker and adventurer. He was ready to take on a new adventure after mastering the role of husband and father. So, after 14 years of marriage, Anthony initiated the process of separation from Becky. But Becky still wanted to be with him, so they remained together for almost another decade. They officially called it quits on their marriage in 2001. Although they were married, Anthony was not the dutiful and faithful husband he once appeared to be.

Most people were not surprised by the separation or the divorce of Anthony and Becky. Anthony was rumored to be a filander. His behavior went as far back as 1984, only two years into his marriage to Becky. While he was “fully” embracing being a husband and a father, he was also entertaining a side girlfriend. Her name was Liz Acosta and she not only was Anthony’s secret girlfriend, but she also is the mother of his illegitimate son. To all known accounts, Becky was unaware of his unfaithfulness and his child.

Others were definitely more aware of Anthony’s wandering ways. There was a report of infidelities that occured during a vacation that he took with his wife Becky. While they shared one hotel room together, he was entertaining another girl in the same hotel but in a different room. Brazen acts for a married man. But again, this behavior was true to his motivational speeches on reaching your inner best self and finding your happiness… not the happiness of those around you.

There are two known cases of harassment charges being brought against Anthony by two former employees. Apparently, his affections were not always appreciated by their recipients. The judgements in these cases have not been made public, but it is certain that they were brought into the divorce proceedings with Becky.

It seemed that Becky prefered to keep things quiet about her split with her third husband. She even attempted to stay with him even after he made it known to her that he wanted a separation. Becky never spoke publicly about her husband’s infidelities or his illegitimate child with Liz. From all accounts it seems that the terms of their divorce was reached under mutual agreements and both went their separate ways.
