Early Life and Education

Traci Bingham was born on January 13, 1968, in North Cambridge, Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Her mother, Betty, worked as a librarian, while her father, Lafayette Bingham, was an aircraft technician. She is one of seven siblings: Tommy, Neil, Jenny, Elizabeth, Wayne, and Larry.

Bingham attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and later pursued further education at Harvard Extension School.

Rise to Fame through Baywatch

Traci Bingham is an American actress, model, and television personality. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Jordan Tate on the television series Baywatch, where she appeared from 1996 to 1998. Bingham made history as the first African-American woman to become a regular cast member on the series, which originally began airing in 1989.

In addition to her acting work, Bingham participated in the reality television series The Surreal Life and won its spin-off competition, The Surreal Life: Fame Games, earning a prize of $100,000. She is also known for her youthful appearance and her commitment to a vegetarian lifestyle.

Television and Film Career

Bingham began her entertainment career with appearances in several television shows and films during the 1990s. Her early TV credits include minor roles in series such as Beverly Hills, 90210, D.R.E.A.M., Married… with Children, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Her film debut came in 1995 with a small role in Demon Knight.

Modeling and Baywatch Recognition

Bingham was a popular figure in the modeling world and posed on multiple occasions for Playboy magazine. Most notably, she appeared in the "Babes of Baywatch" issue in June 1998, alongside fellow cast members Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Donna D’Errico, Gena Lee Nolin, Marliece Andrada, and Erika Eleniak.

In 2005, Bingham was also hired as a promotional model for Empire Poker, an online gambling website.
