Trevor Jackson 

Trevor Jackson was born on August 30, 1996 in Indiana, USA. He is the youngest of two siblings. His father's name is Kevin Jackson and his mother's name is Cam Baxter. While growing up he played basketball as his father and his elder brother were very much into it. At first, Trevor wanted to be a basketball player as he was taller than all of his friend at school but later realized his potential in dancing and chose it as his career path. His parents have supported him all throughout his career. Since his childhood days, he started playing songs at parties and at school. He even performed on Showtime at the Apollo. In 2004 he got a chance to play young Simba from the Lion King. He was just 8 years old at that time. He worked with this production for the next 3 years leaving it in 2007.

With an interview with Coveteur.com Trevor was quoted as saying: “My mom says that when I was five or six, I was like, ‘I want to be an NBA player, I want to be a movie star, and I want to make music.’ I’ve wanted to be everything at one point, a surfer, a skater, I did gymnastics for a couple years, and I did capoeira for like, eight or nine years." Trevor continues, “Everything kind of started from tapping; I wanted to be Gregory Hines. I realized that if he was in the movie I was watching, he was acting, then he was singing, and he was dancing, and all the girls loved him. It spawned everything else.”

After Lion king, he had become a very well-known child artist in the industry and so he was getting many offers from different movies and TV shows. In 2010 he appeared in an episode of Cold Case. A year later he got a role in Harry’s Law. He even got the Young Artist Crowds award for Best performance. In 2013 he got his first role in a movie called A Beautiful Soul. The same year he got another offer from the Disney Channel for its movie Let It Shine. In this film, he played the role of Kris McDuffy. In 2012 Jackson signed with the Atlantic Records to release his first album called Like We Grown. His first album was a big hit and so his fans started demanding another album from him. Seeing the response, he released another album called #NewThang. His song Drop It was a very big hit as even McDonald's used it for its advertisement. Later that year he went on a tour of America with Justine Skye. He is growing up to be a very good singer as well. During this time he also had a reoccurring role in the TV show Eureka which aired on the Syfy Network. He played Kevin Blake, and was on the show for two seasons.

His remix album New Thang was launched in 2014 after the good response he got from his fans. He is currently working on his new full-length album that he hopes to launch in a couple of months. In 2014 he also realized another song called Good Girl, Bad Girl. The same year he created a YouTube channel and started posting tracks and behind the scenes of his song production. This channel garnered many views and subscriptions from his fans. Jackson looks up to Michael Jackson for inspiration along with Gregory Hines and the Nicholas Brothers. He also does volunteering from time to time to give back to the society. He was in support of Snoop Dogg’s No Guns Allowed campaign.
