Vanessa Johansson was born on January the 12th in 1980. Her hometown is in New York City, New York in the United States of America. She has four siblings: Scarlett, Hunter, Adrian and Christian, who is her half brother. Their parents are Karsten Johansson, a Danish man and Melanie Sloan, an American woman that comes from a Jewish family.
She is the elder sister of famous movie star Scarlett Johansson. Another actor in the Johansson family is Hunter, Scarlett’s twin brother; with Vanessa that would make three actors in one family. This the biography of one of them. Apart from that, she is the aunt of Rose Dorothy Dauriac. Not much about her personal life is known not even if she is engaged or even has a boyfriend.
Film Career
She has worked for a very small amount of time, in fact, her career expands only from 2007 to the very next year. One of her roles was as a voice actress for the computer generated science fiction movie Battle for Terra directed by Aristomenis Tsirbas. Another example of her work, is the minor part she played in the zombie apocalypse horror movie Day of the Dead, a remake of a movie of the same name from the eighties.
This new version was directed by Steve Miner, while the old one was directed by George Romero. This is one of the rare cases in which the remake is considered the superior version by critics and audiences alike. Sadly, her time working in good movies ended right there and her time acting in general, as her next role was a bit part in the horror movie Shark in Venice. The film directed by Danny Lerner seems to be more at home with Asylum that with any other production company, but is in fact an English- Italian Co production. After that there are no more titles to her name listed anywhere.
Recent Work
Recently, Vanessa venture in the world of Audiobooks along with her little sister, Scarlett. Together they recorded a new version of The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland, the Lewis Carroll's literary classic. Their version was made with Audible and is available to buy online at Amazon.
Given the fact that one of the interesting factors about Vanessa is her sister, this article will talk for a bit about her. She was born, along with her twin brother Hunter, on November the 22nd in 1984.

Along with her younger siblings, she attended the Public School 41, Greenwich Village School. After that, she went to study acting at the Professional Children's School. She graduated from this Co educational and independent school in 2002.
Beginnings
She started acting at nine years of age when she participated in the comedy North. It will be the very next year when she got yet another role, again minor, in the movie Just Cause. There she shared screen with Sean Connery.
Then in 1996 she worked on another two movies: Manny & Lo, for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Female, and If Lucy Fell, in which she played yet again another minor part.
An Uprising Career
Her role in Manny & Lo garnered her the attention from the critics, but it was not until the release of The Horse Whisperer, two years after Manny & Lo, that her name began to be noticeable. As a matter of fact, she was not only noticeable, but also well received by the critics, something proven by the nomination for the Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Most Promising Actress.
Her career went upwards from there on, having worked under Sofia Coppola’s direction in Lost in Translation. Thanks to that movie she got awarded as Best Actress in a Leading Role by BAFTA.
