Subsequent Roles and TV Success
Following the end of JAG, McLellan was cast as Lisa George in the ABC drama Dirty Sexy Money. The show, which blended elements of comedy and soap opera, ran for two seasons from 2007 to 2009. McLellan later returned to CBS, this time joining the cast of NCIS: New Orleans as Special Agent Meredith Brody during the show's first two seasons from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, McLellan became a series regular on the second season of ABC’s political thriller Designated Survivor. She portrayed Kendra Daynes, the White House Counsel, playing a key role in the administration of the fictional U.S. President Tom Kirkman, portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland.
Personal Life
McLellan married actor J.P. Gillain in February 2012. The couple had one son together before divorcing in 2016. Following the separation, McLellan sought custody of their child.
