It was his actions and Rashads performance that led the team to a super bowl appearance. Rashad’s career was a busy one as he was caught 495 passes for 6831 yards, and made 44 touchdowns. The catch that made his career was December 1980 where Rashad caught a Hail Mary pass from quarterback Tommy Kramer which resulted in a come from behind touchdown victory which led them to a Central Division Title. This play was dubbed as “The Miracle at the Met” Or “The Miracle Catch”

Rashad followed his football career with a long career in broadcasting and television. He covered all sports such as NBA, NFL and MLB. He mainly worked for NBC and ABC while hosting shows such as NBA inside stuff, which lasted 16 years. His broadcasting career has led him to many different shows and appearances across a wide variety of shows relating to sports on the ABC and NBC network. His personal life consists of a many marriages and divorces. He has been divorced four times and married five times. With the many marriages he has had, he has fathered six children, and came into many step children through the several marriages he was once involved in.
