She was also made on -the -road producer and her reporting includes the coverage of 2006 World Cup in Germany which she did by staying in Berlin for the entire seven weeks. She later worked at BBC anchoring sports bulletins on its various networks including BBC World News, Breakfast on BBC One, and BBC News Channel. She also anchored the show Inside F1 at BBC News. She joined CNN in April, 2012. She will be covering the World Sports show which was re-launched by CNN. Alex Thomas and Pedro Pinto will work along with her to cover sports news related to golf, football, tennis, cricket, basketball, and motor-sport.

She has covered many major sports events live including the Champions League, Wimbledon, Formula 1 Races, The Boat Race, and the English Premier League. During her graduation from St Edmund Hall at Oxford University, she received the Philip Geddes Memorial Prize for Journalism.

Amanda Davies also devotes her time to charities. She is an Ambassador for Sparks and also a staunch supporter of the organization ‘Bliss’. She is a patron of the Milk Bank at the Chelsea Hospital and Queen Charlotte hospital. She joined the milk bank in 2012 after her daughter’s premature birth.
