While Morton is primarily known for her theater work, she has also appeared in several films and television series. Notably, she had a lead role in Rookie of the Year (1993) as the protagonist’s mother. The film was a box office success, grossing over $56 million worldwide. She appeared alongside Dolly Parton in Straight Talk and held supporting roles in The Dilemma, Bluebird, and the thriller 8mm, directed by Joel Schumacher.
