Amy Roloff was born on September 17, 1964 in the state of Michigan. Amy is an American television personality who is best known for her role on the famous television program called Little People, Big World. Amy suffers from Achondroplasia which is a form of dwarfism. In her television appearances, the camera crews follow her family as they live their lives as dwarves. Amy and her ex-husband Matthew Roloff are very open their dwarfism disease in the shows. The two parents operate a farm where they raise 4 children together.
Amy graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree. Shortly after her educational milestone, she moved to California and started working for one of the top companies in Silicon Valley as an assistant Research and Development manager and became a valuable team player to managers.
Amy’s union to Matthew didn’t last forever. After 26 years of marriage, the two separated in 2014. Amy and Matt were reported to have had marital issues on Thanksgiving Day in 2013. They said that ending their marriage was not their desired choice but they just were at a point where they could no longer make things work.
One major dispute between the couple was a disagreement about selling their farm in 2013. According to a press release, the couple engaged in an intense shouting agreement in regards to their farm. No one knows why the farm was a point of contention but the couple tried to cool things off. Matt wanted some time away from Amy so he decided to move out of the house and into their guest house. Matt said that people can call it a separation, or an attempt at a separation, but the final result was that the relationship was leading to failure.
Amy and Matt had a story book start to their relationship when they met in 1987 at the Little People of America Convention. The two moved fast as they dated, got engaged, and eventually married in the same year. They felt comfortable with each other and wanted to take their relationship to the next stage as fast as possible.
They usually discussed their marital problems on their TV show. Amy once revealed that she felt alone in the house. They had been talking about divorce for a considerable amount of time on the show, but most of the viewers thought they were using it as a ploy to increase the ratings of their television show. There were also rumors that Matt was cheating on Amy and had a secret affair with another woman. There has been no proof to support this claim, and both Amy and Matt have denied the rumor.
The success of their TV show have made them the latest celebrity victims of disturbing online threats and harassing phone calls from an unknown stalker. Loads of threats have been made to the family leading to the involvement of the police. Living in separate places would make things even harder for Amy and Matt. They had many phone calls threatening them and they also have to deal with online harassment. They have never saw any unidentified cars near their gates at odd hours. Matt sounded worried about the stalker when he was asked for his comments, “They’ve been to the farm. They know it. Is it somebody on our farm? Someone in our own network of people we know, or some random individual? We don’t know who’s up to it, and it’s spooky.”
