Breakthrough with George Lopez and Industry Recognition

Moreno returned to the television spotlight in 2002 with her role as Benny Lopez on the hit sitcom George Lopez. Her performance was well received, earning her the Imagen Foundation Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Comedy in 2004. She was also nominated for ALMA Awards in both 2006 and 2007 in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Television Series.

Acting Coach and Film Mentorship

By the 1990s, as on-screen roles became less frequent, Moreno transitioned into a successful career as an acting coach and advisor. She lent her expertise to a variety of films, including Jerry Maguire, Rush Hour 2, Almost Famous, The Family Man, Crossroads, and 17 Again. Of particular note, she served as Lindsay Lohan’s personal acting coach during the production of The Parent Trap (1998).

She is married to Joel Rudnick, a talent agent and former actor known for his roles in productions such as Fiddler on the Roof (1972) and Two Idiots in Hollywood (1988).
