Caroline Rhea has filmed several successful comedy specials for various networks. She taped a one-hour special for HBO, called One Night Stand, which turned out to be very successful for her. She followed that with another one-hour special called Rhea's Anatomy, which aired on the Bravo network. She also had a comedy special on Showtime called Give Me My Remote.

In an interview with Broadway, Caroline spoke about her comedy heroes, "Oh, yes. Beloved Bea Arthur, who I'm very sorry I never got to meet, to tell her how much I loved her. Also, Rue McClanahan and Carol Burnett. There are a lot. I just saw that Valerie Harper is going to be Tallulah Bankhead in Looped on Broadway. I love her, too. And Carol Kane! Sometimes I have this out-of-body experience where I go, "Is Carol Kane really on stage with me? Oh my God! How did that happen?"

Acting Career

She made her debut as an actress alongside famous actor Jeremy Piven in Pride & Joy. After her debut, she later joined a show that would put her on the Sabrina the Teenage Witch map alongside actors Melissa Joan Hart and Beth Broderick on the ABC network. Caroline played the role of a 600-year-old witch named Aunt Hilda. The part became the most successful and popular role that she ever portrayed. On September 27, 1996, the show premiered on ABC to over 17 million viewers in its famous "TGIF" lineup. The first four seasons aired on ABC from September 27, 1996, to May 5, 2000, and the final three seasons ran on The WB network from September 22, 2000, to April 24, 2003.

The show was so popular that fans still recognized her years after the last season aired. In an interview with Jen Monthen, Caroline described one of her fan encounters, "I think the boy who came up to me and said: 'You were in my wank bank when I was 15.' would have to be a favorite. I didn't know what he meant at first or why Costaki [Economopoulos, Rhea's fiancé and fellow standup] was laughing so much beside me. Then I was horrified, then flattered, in that order. Then there was the girl who put me in a headlock to take me over to see her friends cause I was on Sabrina."

Rhea also has had many other television roles. She was on a Disney show called Phineas and Ferb. She even had her own syndicated daytime talk show, The Caroline Rhea Show. She was the original host of a reality show called The Biggest Loser on NBC for three seasons.

Rhea has appeared in many movies as well. She was in films like Christmas with the Kranks, Disney's Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire, The Perfect Man, and the Lifetime Television movie To Be Fat Like Me.

She also decided to act on stage. She spoke to Broadway about her experience, "I have had so many emotional ups and downs because this piece covers everything. It's so relatable. This is the first thing I've done since I had the baby. I toured a little bit [doing standup] last year, but I wouldn't do more than one night away."
