Encouraged by supportive parents, Courtney began acting professionally as a child.

She attended Skidmore College, where she majored in abnormal psychology—a field not commonly chosen by aspiring entertainers. Despite this, she remained committed to performing and pursued a minor in theatre. Courtney began her acting career early in life, balancing her academic pursuits with developing her professional craft. In addition to acting, she is also an entrepreneur and owns a jewelry line called Charmed Jewelry.

Professional Acting Career

Courtney Peldon’s acting career began when she was just five years old. She made her Broadway debut at age eight, portraying Tootie in the production of Meet Me in St. Louis. This early experience laid the foundation for a versatile career across stage, television, and film.

She gained widespread recognition for her recurring role as Lauren, the onscreen girlfriend of Jonathan Taylor Thomas, on the popular 1990s American sitcom Home Improvement. The show enjoyed a successful run and was among the most-watched sitcoms of its time. Peldon also had a notable three-season tenure on the television drama Boston Public.

Her television appearances extend to a variety of other well-known series, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Nash Bridges, Renegade, Entourage, and several others. These roles display her range and adaptability across multiple genres.
