Dakota Fanning is an American actress and model who is known as the youngest nominee ever for a Screen Actors Guild Award, which she received at the age of eight for her role as Lucy Dawson in the 2001 film I Am Sam. Hannah Dakota Fanning was born on February 23, 1994, in Conyers, Georgia; her mother was a professional tennis player and her father works as an electronics salesman. Fanning started acting as a child at the Towne Lakes Arts Center in Woodstock, Georgia. Fanning graduated from Campbell Hall School in Studio City, California; she was a cheerleader and was voted homecoming queen. She went on to attend the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University where she majored in women’s studies. Dakota’s film credits include Night Moves (2013), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2 (2012), and Ocean’s 8 (2018).

In 2011, at the age of nineteen, Dakota Fanning was romantically linked to the thirty two year old model Jamie Strachan. The couple split in 2016 and Fanning has since appeared on social media in photos that reveal Henry Frye as her new boyfriend. Dakota Fanning is scheduled to appear as Squeaky Fromme in the new Quentin Taratino film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, to be released in 2019.
