Dan Byrd’s meet the peak of his career when he starred in the movie A Cinderella story he co-starred with Hilary Duff in this movie, he became a prominent actor when he featured in this movie.

In 2006 he featured in the movie The Hills Have Eyes, it was a remake by Alexandrea Aja, the movie was created on the basis of  Originals a film by Wes Craven. That same year he co-starred with John Travolta in Lonely Hearts, the film was based on two killers in real life Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez.

He was supposed to star in the movie Revenge of the Nerds, but for some reasons the film was cancelled, after on he featured in the American comedy series Aliens in America, which aired for only one season.

In 2008 it was reported by entertainment weekly that Dan would feature in the Sci-Fi series Heroes, he was casted to play the role of Sylar on the movie series.

In 2010 he played the role of Brandon in Easy A, the film also featured Emma Stone, in the movie he was gay and a friend to Emma.  This same year he played the role of a high school student who claims to have cancer in the movie Norman.

He also worked with Courtney Cox in the comedy series Cougar Town.

Byrd has won awards like Best child actor in the Burbank International Children Film Festival, Best Supporting Actor in a Drama series in the Young Artist Award and Best Actor for Norman in the Rhode Island International Film Festival in the year 2000 and 2010 respectively.

He was also nominated in 2001 and 2005 respectively in the young artist awards for best supporting act and best performance in a TV movie.
