McCrary's other significant appearances include Scam in the 1987 comedy picture Big Shots, in which he made his cinematic debut. In the 2007 Transformers reboot, he gave the voice of Jazz. He played photojournalist Malcolm Winters on the CBS daytime serial The Young and the Restless from December 2009 until October 2011.
