Diora Baird is an American actress and former model, best known for her roles in film and television. She was born in Miami, Florida, in 1983. Her mother, a former model, encouraged Diora to take acting classes as a way to overcome her shyness during childhood. These classes sparked her interest in performing, and she later became vice president of the Thespian Society at her high school.

Move to Los Angeles and Modeling Career

At the age of 17, Baird relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. To support herself while auditioning, she held various jobs, including working at The Gap, serving as a preschool teacher, catering events, waitressing, and even performing as a clown at children’s parties. Her modeling breakthrough came when she signed with Guess, which significantly increased her exposure. She went on to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine and was represented by Elite Model Management in Miami.

Entry into Acting and Film Success

Baird began landing acting roles in 2004, including a guest appearance on The Drew Carey Show and a role in the low-budget film Brain Blockers. Her career gained major traction in 2005 with a breakthrough role in the comedy Wedding Crashers. This was followed by parts in films such as Hot Tamale, Accepted, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, My Best Friend’s Girl, Young People Fucking, Transit, and Stan Helsing.
