Eric Bolling

Eric Thomas Bolling is a conservative personality on American Television and was born in the year 1963. He specializes in the financial news with political commentary. He is a co-host for Fox News Channel’s talk show called The Five. He has worked in different capacities as a commentator about different financial issues on the television and this mostly on the Fox News. He is described as a cheerful, hard charging and relentlessly upbeat person according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Eric Bolling hosted Cashin’ In which is a news program at Fox Business channel and he replaced FBC anchor Cheryl Casone who was the host of this program since 2009 to 2013.

Eric Bolling was born and raised in Chicago. He graduated his grade school at Queen of All Saints Basilica and he went to Loyola Academy. He graduated from the Rollins College of Winter Park in Florida where he got the BA degree of Economics and was given the fellowship to School of Public Policy of Duke University.  He got drafted in 22nd round in Major League Baseball Draft of 1984, he joined Pittsburgh Pirates and he was given the assignment to go to Gulf Coast League which is its affiliate. However, the baseball career did not take him too far since he got injury of rotator cuff.

Eric Bolling worked as a commodity trader at New York Mercantile Exchange. He was specializing in gold, crude oil, natural gas with more commodities. He worked for five years as a member of the board of directors of NYMEX now called CME group. He was working as a strategic adviser to the board of directors.  He was one of the Top in Trader Monthly of 2005 and 2006. He was awarded the Year Award called Maybach Man from Trader Monthly Award.

Eric Bolling got involved in developing of Fast Money of CNBC. He stopped working at CNBC in August 2007 and he started to work at Fox Business Network where he became a financial analyst.  He was the host of the Happy Hour and it was running opposite of the Fast money.

In 2011, Eric Bolling was involved into a racial case controversy. The problem was about invitation of President Obama to President of Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba to the White House. He said that Bongo is a dictator and also criticized how Obama invited rapper Common to White House. He said that it would not have been the first time to have a hoodlum invited into his house.  Media Matters criticized him saying that he should not have called a president, a hoodlum and that that this was racism.   He defended himself first but after sometime, he agreed that he made a mistake and he apologized.

Eric Bolling is a host of Fox News Channel Program called The Five. This is a roundtable discussion about cultural and top political stories. Together with an ex co-host Bob Beckel, are known to have strong opposition. Eric Bolling is married and his wife if called Adrienne. They have a son called Eric Chase. He is a catholic.
