Thus, with the collected information, it can be concluded that Jacob has been married once with his high school sweetheart, who left him after four years because of his infidelity. She was not known to have cheated on him. After she left, he started having many relationships with a long string of women. He keeps his personal life to himself and his infidelity actions are very commonly known to the people around him.

Jacob has talked a lot about his band and career, but he never has commented about his personal life, whether he is planning to get married again or any other detail.

Shedding light on his professional side, interestingly, the original Hedley band bet an amount of 151 dollars that he won’t be able to make it to the top three in the TV program “Canadian Idol”. Jacob won the bet, since they reached the third place before their elimination from the competition. After returning from the Canadian Idol, the band was completely reformed, and Hoggard has been the only original member to remain in the band, with Dave Rosin on guitar, Tommy Macdonald on bass, and Chris Crippin on Drums. Jacob always listens to metal or hip-hop before performing in a show because he thinks it pumps him up, and the results are great.

Jacob and the Hedley published many albums:

On September 2005, the self-titled debut album “Hedley

On October 2007, the second album “Famous Last Words

On November 2009, the third album “The Show Must Go

On November 2011, the fourth album, “Storms

On November 2013, the fifth album, "Wild Life"

On November 2015, the sixth album “Hello”

On September 2017, the seventh album “Cageless”, which turned out to be the band’s last

Hoggard was also featured as one of the Young Artists for Haiti, one of many Canadian artists who sang on the charity single "Wavin' Flag".

Sexual assault charges and conviction

In February 2018, several women publicly accused Hoggard of sexual misconduct, and Hedley announced an indefinite hiatus at the end of its tour that March; the band has not recorded or toured since. In July 2018, Hoggard was charged in Toronto with two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm and one count of sexual interference, relating to incidents in 2016 involving a woman and a teenage girl. In June 2022, a jury found him guilty of sexual assault causing bodily harm against the woman and acquitted him of the charges involving the younger complainant. He was sentenced in October 2022 to five years in prison and ordered onto the sex offender registry for 20 years. The Court of Appeal for Ontario upheld the conviction in August 2024. In a separate trial in northeastern Ontario, a jury acquitted him of sexual assault in October 2024.
