Jamia Simone Nash was born on August 21, 1996 in Virginia Beach, Virginia to James and Charlene Nash. Her father became her manager when she started to sing professionally. She also has a sister Olivia. Currently Jamia living with her parents in Los Angeles, California.

She started to sing when she was 4 years old. Jamie’s first appearance was in a syndicated music television program “Showtime at the Apollo” in 2002, where she performed Alicia's Keys song "Fallin". In the 2003 she performed at the 2003 Essence Awards, singing Michael Jackson's song "Who's Lovin' You" in honor of Mary J. Blige. The next year Jamia and her younger sister Olivia sing the hook in the song "Black Girl Pain" on Talib KWeli’s album The Beautiful Struggle. During her career of musician she shared the stage with such superstars as Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Josh Groban and John Mayer. Before her triumph on big stage she also appeared on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Good Morning America," and "The CBS Early Show". Jamia sang for Aretha Franklin, John Travolta, Oprah Winfrey, the King of Jordan and the President of the United States, who named Jamia "the definition of the future" She also sang the National Anthem during 2003 NBA All-Star Game festivities. In addition to her music career she also appeared in numerous movies like “My Wife and Kids”, “Romeo” and “The Backyardigans”.

In the 2006 Jamia Nash landed a role of Fantasia Barrino on the Lifetime Original movie “Life Is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story” that was a a biopic about the American Idol winner from 2004. The next year she appeared in the beautiful musicial film “August Rush” with the role of Hope a little friend of Evan. She also was the lead vocalist on the song "Raise It Up" from this movie, which than was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Performing this song at the 2008 Academy Awards she became the youngest singer ever to perform on an Academy Awards telecast.

In the 2008 Jamia Nash played Ana Hamilton on CBS' daytime television opera “The Young and the Restless”. At the same year On June 21, Jamia appeared at Atlanta's Phillips Arena on two-hour musical event called "Songs of Soul and Inspiration" directed by Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony award-winning producer and choreographer Debbie Allen. On July 18, 2009 she singing for in Kennedy Center. With song of Celine Dion "Let's Talk About Love" Jamia Nash sang for the Apollo program's 40th anniversary. She also appeared in episodes of television series “7th Heaven” and “The Young and the Restless”. She also was a guest on “The Tony Danza Show”, “Half & Half” and “Big Time”. Jamia’s song "Bongo Bird" was on the Noggin series “Jack's Big Music Show”.
