Janice Dean’s current designation at Fox is of Senior Meteorologist.  In her career at Fox Janice has reported on a number of dangerous storms.  The list includes hurricanes Igor, Sandy, Katrina and Irene.  Before working for Fox Janice was working for CHEZ – FM.  It was her first job at any organization as she joined right after her graduation.  She joined in Ottawa and was playing a number of different roles.  Dean hosted a morning show along with another colleague.  In addition to this, Dean was a disc jockey and a reporter.  She started hosting for her first television show in 1997 at CBOT.  During the time period of 1998 – 2001, Janice hosted many different radio programs for the largest city in Texas, Houston.  She worked for KLDE-FM, KODA-FM and KKBQ-FM.  Janice Dean joined Fox in the month of January in 2004.  Prior to this she already acquired the skills of a journalist. Her experience levels grabbed the attention of Fox’s team of human resources department and she was offered a position. Janice Dean worked for a radio show that was popular in the United States and called “Imus in the Morning”.  Dean was the entertainment reporter and the editor of the news for the show.

Janice Dean has received many awards and honors. She has a membership in the American Meteorological Society which gave her the “AMS Seal of Approval” in the year 2009.  Algonquin College awarded Janice with a diploma in Radio & TV Broadcasting.   Janice also won the title of “New York’s Funniest Reporter” for the year 2013.

Janice owns accounts in the two most famous social networking websites; namely Facebook and Twitter.  Janice has posted several different stories and videos to each of these accounts.  Most of the stories are related to the weather and the  reporting of weather. Since Janice is a public figure she has a lot of people visit her profile on Facebook and follow her on Twitter.  On Facebook she has nearly 18,000 likes and, as I mentioned, a lot of people also follow her on Twitter.  Janice is also very fond of writing; she has written a book for children titled “Freddy the Frogcaster.”

Janice announced on her Facebook page that all profits from the sales of “Freddy the Frogcaster” would go to Team Rubicon USA, an organization based in Texas. Team Rubicon USA works to help those recovering from Hurricane Harvey. Dean believes that it is important to teach children about flood safety and is proud to help an organization that brings veterans out to aid first responders when natural disasters occur.

Janice Dean’s personal life revolves around her husband and her two kids.  Janice got married in the year 2007.  She is living a happily married life.  After two years of her marriage, in 2009, she gave birth to her first child.  Two years later, in 2011, she was blessed with another baby.  Theodore and Mathew are the monikers of the two children.  Dean has a perfect balance between her married life and professional life.  This perfect balance has eradicated any possibility of divorce or separation. Her husband is a fun loving and caring person, who has only one girlfriend in his life “Janice.”
