In 1997, Gedrick starred in the television thriller The Third Twin, a three-hour miniseries based on Ken Follett’s best-selling novel. He played a university employee falsely accused of rape, unraveling a plot involving human cloning linked to a powerful and unethical biomedical CEO.
Gedrick continued working in both television and film throughout the early 2000s. His credits during this period include roles in The Beast, Falcone, and EZ Streets. He made a guest appearance on Ally McBeal as an attractive car wash attendant and starred in Mario Puzo's miniseries The Last Don.
In the 2003 Lifetime movie A Date with Darkness: The Trial and Capture of Andrew Luster, Gedrick portrayed the convicted rapist Andrew Luster. He later starred in the NBC series Windfall, alongside Luke Perry.
