The following day, Moore signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Though initially part of the practice squad, he was soon promoted to the active roster. He signed a two-year contract with the Cowboys, totaling approximately $1.42 million. During his time with the team, Moore served primarily as a backup quarterback.
