Early Life and Training

Kristen has a pretty rich reserve of information in her biography. She studied drama at Middlebury College in Vermont and went on to study at Yale School of Drama. At middle school, she had the early exposure to friendships with colleagues like actor Zach Braff and singer and rapper Lauryn Hill. At School, she learnt so much about Shakespeare and thought that acting was all about the works of William Shakespeare. But in real life, she learnt that acting was much more than what they did on stage at school but she persevered and made a great career.

Career

Kristen’s role as Dana in the 2012 movie – ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ and Christina Gallaher in the Netflix series ‘House of Cards’ threw her into the spotlight. She began her career with roles in the movies – ‘Mona Lisa Smile’, ‘Meet Dave’ and the ‘Happening.’ She further had early on in her career, recurring roles in ‘Guiding Light’ and As the World Turns,’ two soap operas run by CBS Daytime. Furthermore, she starred in the horror movie ‘The Bay’ and has acted also in the following notable movies: ‘Ex Girlfriends’, ‘A Good Marriage’, ‘Worst Friends’, Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Kristen is the fans’ favorite TV personality, because of her many roles in series. She has been on: ‘New Amsterdam, ‘Law and Order: Criminal Intent’, ‘Nurse Jackie’, ‘Life of Mars’, ‘Mercy’, ‘The Good Life’, The Whispers’, ‘Zoo’ and ‘Wizard of Lies.’ Because of these fantastic performances, Kristen was nominated in 2013 for the Online Film and Television Award for the most cinematic moment. Even though she is always in the lime light, Kristen prefers a quiet and private personal life. She does not appreciate the fact that people seek to be associated with her privately because of their obsession for what she does on the screen. She is also someone who believes in integrity and strong character. She reckons that behind the make-up and the lovely dresses are real people who should be known to stand for what they believe.

Even though an actress, she does not cherish the art of auditioning because she think it is not fun. She got married to her husband and the love of her life, Cody Rifle when she was 35 in early 2016. Staying true to her personal preference for privacy, the wedding took place at a private location and was devoid of the usual celebrity glamour and fanfare.
