A TV host and news reporter, Lynn Colliar was born on November 22nd, 1967. This profession was her hobby from childhood, and something she always wanted to be. Education and Early Career
Lynn studied biology and showed her keen interest towards the animals. But the passion for television continued to grow within her as she became more mature and developed into a young adult. She graduated Terry Fox Secondary School and went further with it, continuing to study Biology at Simon Fraser University, although her graduation was in different subject. But it was her field and her passion. After her graduation, Lynn worked as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary clinic, working very hard and loved to work in any situation that dealt with animals. Her love and affection towards the animals has provoked her interest in working at the veterinary clinic for 7 years. Even during those years, Lynn Colliar's passion for television never gave away. She decided to study Journalism and this decision became the defining moment in her life as far as her career is concerned. She also did a 2 year Broadcast Journalism Course at British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Television Career and Early Achievements
In the year 1991, Colliar worked at Global BC and she started her venture as a news writer and further switched to the reporting position as her full-time job. She made her own production known “A Shred of Evidence”, a 30 minutes special. This production work that she did won her accolades and fame and she was soon nominated by the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters for the Excellence in News Reporting. This 30 minutes production completely explained the intricate details on British Columbia murders and related crimes..
During the month of March in 2003, Colliar was in a situation with radio personality Tom Leykis, and while hosting a show where he was to give 50,000 USD to the non-profit organization. She bared her breasts and for Leykis in the local bar while anchoring an event.
During the year 2005, Lynn induced with the Terry Fox Wall of Fame. Also from the year 1998 to 2001, Lynn was the sole host for the morning news show this show was very successful and rate of her popularity was increasing day by day. On September 10th 2010, Lynn shared the last show as a co-host with Steve Darling at the Morning News on Global BC. In the same year 2010, September 27 Lynn started her new line of work taking the responsibility as the Senior Investigative Reporter for News Hour. She has mention it is the defining moment in all her career tasks.
Personal Life
Lynn loves to travel and she is fond of riding bike during her free time. Love for adventure runs through her blood. Lynn often loves to enjoy mountain biking whenever she finds herself free. This is of course her favorite hobby and indeed she spends her own time to enjoy activities and relax.
