Born in Bryan, Texas, Raini Rodriguez is the elder sister of actor Rico Rodriguez. She is the daughter of Diane and Roy Rodriguez, who owned a family business named Rodriguez Tire Service. She has two brothers, Ray and Roy Jr.
Raini's talent was first discovered at the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) showcase by a California-based talent agent, Susan Osser, when she was 11 years old. Osser recognized Raini’s potential and became her manager. To support her budding acting career, Raini moved to Los Angeles with her mother and brother. During this period, she received homeschooling to ensure her education remained uninterrupted.
Raini Rodriguez made her film debut in 2007 with a small role in the movie Parker. The following year, she appeared in Babysitters Beware, portraying Marco’s sister. In 2009, Raini landed her breakout role as Maya Blart in the comedy film Paul Blart: Mall Cop. That same year, she also appeared in other productions, including Slice of Water, Gordita, and Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.
In 2011, Raini played Tess in the teen drama Prom, followed by her role as Tavita in the 2012 film Girl in Progress. The years 2014 and 2015 saw her in additional roles, including voicing Nobuko Kadoya in the English-language version of Studio Ghibli's When Marnie Was There (2014), playing Maya Blart once again in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015), and voicing a character in the animated special Bob's Broken Sleigh.
