Randi Kaye began her broadcasting career at the ABC affiliate in Dallas WFAA-TV. She served there as host and reporter for the show, Good Morning Texas. She also did a brief stint at the Fox affiliate KMSP-TV located in Minneapolis where she anchored the syndicated show ‘Everyday Living’. Kaye also worked at WWOR, an affiliate of UPN situated in New York City.

Kaye has worked for over five years at the ABC show Nightline along with anchor Peter Jennings. She then started working for KATV, another affiliate of ABC. She later worked for WCCO-TV situated in Minneapolis as an anchor and investigative reporter before joining CNN in the year 2004.

Kaye has reported on the gubernatorial campaign of Jesse Ventura and the arrest of Zacarias Moussaoui who was one of the terrorists involved in the September 11 attacks). She also covered the presidential campaign of Bill Clinton in Arkansas, the Whitewater investigation and the suicide of Vince Foster, the White House counsel. She said moose hunting with Sarah Palin’s guide and flying in an F-18 with the Blue Angels are two of the most memorable reporting events in her career.

While working for CNN, she reported on the presidential inauguration in 2013 and also anchored the documentaries involving the Christopher Dorner manhunt, the bombing during the Boston Marathon, and the Jodi Arias Trial. She has also covered the shootings in Aurora’s Theater, the Sikh temple attack in Oak Creek, and the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona. She reported live on the Tahrir Square violence and the Libyan rebellion.

Randi Kaye has won an Emmy Award for her investigative report on the black market selling of infertility drugs. She was also part of the team at CNN that won the Peabody award for reporting on Hurricane Katrina in the year 2005 and the Oil Spill in Gulf in 2010. She also received the Headliner Award for her series Amazing Animals: Smarter Than You Think. Kaye has also been honored with a GLAAD and NLGJA award for reporting on the Sissy Boy Experiment in the show, Anderson Cooper 360°.

Marriage, Husband, and Kids

In 2013, the new ring on Randi Kaye's left hand was glowing with love. Kaye and her long-term lover, mortgage dealer Ross Holland, got engaged on their vacation in Mexico. The popular WCCO-TV anchor, who has mistaken watchers for past rings that looked like wedding bands, said she saw the proposal from Ross coming. Before taking off to Jalisco, Mexico, they had Stephen Lehman and his partners at Studio Vincent make a brushed platinum setting for a stone worn by her maternal extraordinary grandma, who was called Bobb. Lehman realized they needed sort of a contemporary setting, and nailed it for the couple.
