Career in Television and Comedy

Maschio moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment, initially exploring stand-up comedy and short films made with fellow students. He frequently collaborated with Columbia’s Art Film Division and even took ballet and tap dance classes to broaden his performance skills. During the mid-1990s, he worked for as little as $15 per set or about $350 per week, reflecting the tough early days of his career.
