Steve Harris was born to John Harris who was working as a bus driver and Mattie who was a housewife.  He is an old brother for Wood Harris and he went to St Joseph High school found in Westchester.  This is a private school where many star athletes went to and he was a runner during that period.  While doing drama, he was a linebacker for the Northern Illinois University.

He did voice work for some animated television shows like Ethan Bennett and the Batman.  He had a role in Law and Order and in the pilot of Homicide: Life on The Street.  In 2006, he had an appearance in the cancelled series known as Heist.  He played in Grey’s Anatomy. Other movies he played are The Rock, Bringing down the House, Diary of Mad Black Woman, Tyler Perry, Quarantine, Minority Report, Takers and The Mood Squad.  He was a player for many teams of NBAE league.
