Suchita began her journalism career as a correspondent for CNBC Asia, based in India. During her tenure there, she reported from various cities, with a particular focus on Mumbai. While in Mumbai, she also hosted a local radio talk show that featured interviews with Indian politicians and prominent public figures. Additionally, she contributed articles to local publications, addressing subjects such as gender issues and the evolving role of women in Indian society.
Her career later took her to Singapore, where she hosted CNBC Asia’s programs CNBC Today and Market Watch. Upon returning to the United States, she worked as a news anchor at KSDK NewsChannel 5 in St. Louis. However, she gained her most public recognition in Atlanta as the morning anchor for Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta. Joining the station in 2002, she remained there until 2010, earning a reputation for professionalism and objective news coverage. During this period, she also co-produced the media initiative Asian Working Woman, contributing to the representation of Asian-American women in the workplace.
Suchita was briefly married, though she has chosen not to disclose the identity of her former spouse. The marriage did not result in any children. Currently, she resides in Atlanta and is in a relationship, with plans to eventually marry and start a family.
