Thomas Bergeron is a popular television personality in America, who is also a comedian as well as game show host. He is currently 60 years old and he was born on the 6th of May back in 1955. Early life
Thomas is the son of Catherin and Raymond Bergeron. His descent is rather mixed up as it is French-Canadian as well as Irish. He got his first job on television in the broadcasting niche and he was a DJ for a local radio called WHAV back in his home town Haverhill in Massachusetts. As a matter of fact Bergeron became a rather popular DJ in that area referred to as the Seacoast area of New Hampshire back in the days during the 1980s. The radio that he was playing for was Portsmouth’s WHEB. Consequently he got a lot of auditions thanks to his work in the radio.
His television career kicked off quite early as he got to be the host for a game show of locality which was called Granite State Challenge and it was aired on the Public Television of New Hampshire. Right after he left the WBZ-TV Network back in 1994, he got immediately hired by the FX network. He was co-hosting a morning show which had the name Breakfast Time. As a matter of fact this was his first official television exposure. He was also a guest host for the Good Morning America on ABC News.
However, after appearing as a host of the dancing with the Stars and Dancing with the Internet Stars, reportedly a parody of the official version, back on the 12th of March in 2014, Tom announced that he is going to be the main host of the America’s Funniest Home Videos. The final episode of him being a host of the show was on the 17th of May in 2015. However, this definitely impacted his salary and he is reported to have a net worth of approximately $16 million which is rather substantial for a TV host.
Personal Life
As far as Tom’s personal life goes, he is married to his wife Louis for over 30 years. They had their marriage back in 1982 and their life together resulted in two beautiful daughters called Samantha and Jessica. Interestingly enough, he has homes on both the East Coast and on the West Coast and his family is known to spend a lot of the time travelling in between.
