Tom Hollander

Thomas Anthony Hollander was born 25th august 1967, in Bristol England. He's an actor and also a philanthropist. His parents were both teachers based in England. He graduated from Dragon and Abingdon school, during his time in Abingdon school he was the chief chorister. At the age of fourteen he played the lead role in John Diamond, he was also a member of the National Youth Music and National youth Theatre.

He attended Selwyn College in Cambridge where he studied English. While in college he was involved in stage productions and was a member of Footlights, he was the president of Marlowe Society. He's a close friend of Sam Mendes as the were both school mates.

He was also involved in plays while in school.

Personal Life

He lives in Notting Hill, London, although he isn't married and he also doesn’t have a partner nor kids. Intentions of him getting married or having kids have not been clarified by him. He has a net worth of about $5 million. He's a regular user of social media platforms like Instagram and twitter. Aside from acting he partakes in sporting activities like running and cycling.

Career

In 1992, he won the Ian Charleston Award for the role he played in The Way of the World, he was also nominated for his work in As You like it by jowl. As an actor he has won a lot of awards for his roles in acting.

He has featured in several movies and TV shows, due to his fluent English he has played voice roles.

He played the role of Lord Cutler Beckett in the popular film Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of The Caribbean : At Worlds’ End.

Hollander has also appeared in the miniseries The Company and also Cambridge spies, which was all produced under the BBC network.

In 2009 he featured in films like The Soloist, Hanna and he had a lead role in the film In the Loop.

He then returned to preforming on life stages in 2010, he played part in comedic roles for Georges Feydeau's A Flea in Her Ear.

All through his career he has featured in countless movies and Tv series and is considered as a very vast and professional actor.

He has featured in movies like Bridezillas, Pride and Prejudice, The Darwin Awards, Land of the Blind, A Good Year, Rabbit Fever, American Dad!, Freezing, Valkyrie, Desperate Romantics, Legally Mad, Rev, Hanna, Jungle Book: Origins, The Night Manager, Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation, The Riot Club, A poet in New York.

Charity Works

Hollander has been involved in charity works, through his running and cycling, he took part in a charitable work in 2006, that raised funds for Childine Crisis Hotline and the Teenage Cancer Trust in 2007.

He has also supported Helen and Douglas House Hospice for children and Young Adults, for a very long period of time.

In 2014 he was part of the 200 public figures that were signatories to the Guardian.
