Tony Perry's professional music career took off in 2007 when he joined Pierce the Veil. Founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes, the band also includes Jaime Preciado. Perry quickly became an integral part of the group, serving as their lead guitarist. Soon after his arrival, the band began work on their sophomore album, Selfish Machines, which was released on June 22, 2010.
Perry and his band have performed across the globe, touring throughout North America, South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe. He has graced some of the world’s major music festivals, including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Reading and Leeds, Soundwave Festival, Slam Dunk Festival, and Warped Tour. Tony Perry was honored with the ‘Best Guitarist’ award at the 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards (APMAs). His band has also garnered several accolades, including the PETA2 Libby Award in 2010, a Kerrang! Award in 2013, and another APMA in 2014. These recognitions underscore both his individual talent and the band’s influence in the rock and post-hardcore music scenes.
In June 2015, Perry faced a major personal and professional setback when he sustained serious injuries in a mountain biking accident. The incident resulted in three broken ribs, a torn shoulder, a collapsed lung, and a broken sternum. Consequently, he was forced to miss the start of that year’s Warped Tour.
Despite this challenging period, Perry made a full recovery and returned to performing. While he has chosen not to publicly disclose his net worth, it has been estimated at over $2 million, reflecting both his success with Pierce the Veil and his standing in the music industry.
