Personal life

Born on 25th February, 1986 to Mexican parents, Tony Perry lives an austere life by being a vegetarian and an animal rights activist. His real name is Cesar Antonio Perry Soto. He is currently 30 years of age and stands tall at 5 feet 10 inches. His zodiac sign is Pisces. He tattooed his dad on his arm, when he passed away. The credit of teaching Tony to play the guitar goes to his grand-dad. He is also an avid fan of drawing.

Tony is said to have suffered from depression for many years. In the year 2012, Tony was reportedly dating his girlfriend Stephanie Dearing. They broke up after several months due to some misunderstanding that prevailed amongst them. Tony chose not to answer such questions further since he believes that it does nothing but cause drama. Apart from music and tattoos, Tony is also passionate about movies, alcohol and turtles. In fact, what is not surprising is the fact that his first ever tattoo was a turtle! Tony Perry moved to the United States of America when he decided to take music professionally. It was then when he joined the band Pierce the Veil in 2007.

Career

Like stated earlier, Tony’s career commenced when he joined the American band Pierce the Veil in the year 2007. The band consists of four members including Tony and was founded by brothers Vic Fuentes and Mike Fuentes. Tony is the lead guitarist of the band. After he joined the band, they started working on their second album called ‘Selfish Machines’, which was finally released on 22nd June, 2010.

Having an enormous fan following, Tony Perry has toured in North America, South America, Australia, Asia and Europe several times. Tony has performed at many big music festivals such as Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Reading and Leeds, Soundwave Festival, Slam Dunk Festival and Warped Tour. His band Pierce the Veil has shared the stage with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low, Black Veil Bridges, A Day to Remember, Tonight Alive and Sleeping with Sirens.

Tony Perry has received many accolades in his enormous career including ‘Best Guitarist’ at the 2015 APMA Awards. The band Pierce the Veil won numerous awards namely PETA2 Liberations Award in 2010, Kerrang! Awards in 2013, Alternative Press Music Award in 2014, etc.There came an unfortunate time in Tony’s life, in the month of June in 2015 when he suffered a mountain bike accident and had to miss the beginning of the Warped Tour, a very unfortunate event indeed. During this mishap, he sustained 3 broken ribs, a torn shoulder, collapsed lung and a broken sternum. Although Tony has decided to keep his net worth confidential, reports claim that he makes over $2 million.
