Torrie Anne Wilson was born on July 24, 1975, in Boise, Idaho. During her high school years, she was a strong student and an active cheerleader. Her interest in modeling began in high school, where she quickly garnered attention. However, early pressure from agencies to lose weight led to her struggle with anorexia and bulimia, challenges she confronted until the age of 20.

Seeking a healthier lifestyle, Wilson turned her focus to fitness and began training regularly at the gym. Her dedication paid off in 1998 when she won the title of Miss Galaxy. That same year, she also earned recognition for her physique and grace, setting the stage for her future endeavors in fitness and entertainment.

Transition to Wrestling and WCW Career

In 1998, Wilson relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a potential film career. While she landed a few acting roles, her passion for fitness led her into the world of professional wrestling. After attending a wrestling event, she was introduced to industry veteran Kevin Nash, which ultimately led to her debut in World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

Wilson made her wrestling debut under the ring name "Samantha" in a storyline involving David Flair and his father, Ric Flair. She appeared as David Flair’s valet during Bash at the Beach in 1999, where he faced Dean Malenko. Her on-screen involvement with Flair continued until September 1999, before transitioning out of WCW in 2000. She officially ended her WCW contract in 2001.
