McCoy chose to return for his senior season at Texas instead of entering the 2009 NFL Draft. He was later selected in the third round (85th overall pick) of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He signed a four-year contract worth $5 million.
Following his time with the Browns, McCoy also spent time on the rosters of several other NFL teams, including the San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Redskins (now known as the Washington Commanders). Always known for his leadership and work ethic, McCoy has built a respectable professional football career.
Outside of football, Colt McCoy enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He is married to Rachel Glandorf, whom he proposed to on live television. Standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall, McCoy remains a well-regarded figure both for his athletic achievements and his personal character.
