Speleers was born in the St Richard’s Hospital in West Sussex. The parents decided to divorce when he was at the age of 3 and his mother is called Gill and he lives in Spain. His father is called John and he is a financial consultant and he is found in London. He had two half brothers and he went to sturdy from Eastbourne College for portraying Eragon.

Before Eragon, he was in the school production like A Midsummer Night’s Dream when he was only 10 years old. He appeared in Richard III, A streetcar Named Desire and Peter Pan together with Hamlet. He got the lead big-screen role in the Sam in the thriller film called Plastic and it was written and also directed under Julian Gilbeey in the Gateway Films. The production had been shot in Brunei, Miami and Britain since January in 2013.

Speleers is the founding partner together with the manager Matthew Hobbs in the film production and the talent management company called Firefly.
