Elvis Duran

Elvis Duran has established him as one of the powerhouse developers in the entertainment industry. He is someone who has been entertaining the world for more than 30 years. First and foremost, he is a host, but he is also an actor and producer. He is best known for his work with the blockbuster movie Die Hard: With a Vengeance and I Heart Radio Music Festival: Night Two and Fuse Presents Z100’s Jingle Ball. His birth place was in Mckinney, Texas, where he was born on August 5, 1964.

Elvis initially worked at WIQQ, where he contributed there before having job at Z100. He as well contributed as being WIQQ program director. He held the position there of both the morning show host and the program director of KBTS in October 1991 in Austin Texas. Besides this, he served at evening at Z-93 along with a sidekick.

Duran is most well known for his show called Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. The show is broadcasted from New York on Z100. Another well known show name was Syndication, which is broadcasted from Premiere Radio Networks. From More than 70 stations, his show is delivered, where some of the major cities are New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Fort Myers, Cleveland, Richmond, Des Moines and many others.

On the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, on New York’s Z100, he started as host daily in April 1996. After his popularity in New York grew, the show started to broadcast from Miami area stations on 22 May 2006 and also from Sussex County NJ in 2004. The show’s success lead to a deal with the US leading radio syndication company Premiere Network in March of 2009. During the same year, his show received the broadcasting offer from more than 30 different stations, including Q102/WIOQ-FM in Philadelphia, 96.5KISS FM/WAKS-FM in Celeveland, MOViN 97.5/KMVA-FM in Phoenix, WERZ(107.1FM) in Postsmouth.

In December 2014, ABC's Nightline with Dan Harris went behind the scenes of Elvis Duran and The Morning Show and sat down with Duran to discuss his long career and his "uncensored take on Hollywood." Duran explained his show is a 'safe place for women,' saying, “One of our rules for the show, I guess the filter we try to pass everything through, is it’s a safe place for women to be,” Duran said. “It’s not a show for women, because we’re basically 50/50 men/women in our audience, but it’s a safe place where women win. Women never lose on our show. I think that’s very important. It’s very unusual.”

He show often focuses on celebrities and also discusses current topics in the news, hit songs, pop culture and other up-and-coming issues. To commemorate commemorate his 50th birthday in 2014, all of Duran's celebrity friends sent in surprise video messages to wish him a happy birthday. Celebrities from Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Pete Wentz, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Michael Bublé, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Martin, and more contributed to the video.

Duran does a lot of work outside his normal jobs. He serves on the board of Rosie’s Theater Kids, an organization that brings enrichment through theater and the arts to underprivileged Manhattan children. With a soft spot for animals, he serves on the board of directors for Rock & Rawhide, a non-profit organization that aims to increase adoptions while also providing a quieter, stress-free life for animals surrendered to shelters. Duran also contributes to the Staten Island Zoo’s annual endowment and Robin Hood Foundation, which fights poverty in New York City. Having publicly come out as gay in 2010, Duran is also heavily engaged in philanthropic efforts affecting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community and works closely with GLAAD and The Trevor Project. Duran also supports Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, as well as Musicians on Call.

He created his own company in 2007 called The Elvis Duran Group (EDG). The company has specified it work and concentrates its operation on finding subject and content for television, radio, internet, film and theater.
