Education
He took music lessons. He studied Business Administration when he was attending college. He stopped his career and shifted to the neighbour country of the United States of America to pursue an acting career. To be more precise, he moved to New York City, New York. While he was in that city he studied theatre.
After his two years of theatre education ended, he went back to his hometown and started his acting career there, acting for local advertising companies and television channels.
Television
Jed worked in some tv shows. He had minor roles in two science fiction series, one being the long running Fox produced X-Files, and the other the famous anthology series, The Outer Limits. Apart from those he also participated in Little Criminals, a Columbia Broadcasting System well received by the critics and the audience production.
He also worked for a Showtime produced program, The Chris Isaak Show. Along with a long stream of minor roles in various other television series. Pretty Little Liars, distributed by Freeform Network, Chuck, directed by Zachary Levi, the procedure with a mystical twist, The Ghost Whisperer, and the plain procedural produced by the Columbia Broadcasting System, CSI.
Theatre
He played in various plays after returning back to New York City, New York. He was the star of Two Pianos, Four Hands. The play was played at the Promenade Theatre. Also, while in New York City, he acted in another two plays, Voices of Christmas and Slam. He was a member of The Arts Club Theatre when he was part of the production of the former and was part of the team of the Gastown Actors Theatre when he was working on the latter.
Movies
He went to Los Angeles, California in search of his next job. It was 1999 when he landed the part of Teb, a supporting character of the science fiction comedy Galaxy Quest. The movie is an affectionate parody of science fiction television series, such as Star Trek, and its fan base. Thanks to his role there he was made into a recognizable figure.
He also worked in films such as the monster movie Lake Placid. Apart from working in this Steve Miller cult classic he also went to Co star in the comedy Dudley Do- Right. That movie was the live action adaptation of the old animated series of the same name that have Brendan Fraser and Alfred Molina in the respective roles of protagonist and antagonist.
Jed also was the Co star of the film Prisoner of Zenda Inc., not to be confused with yet another adaptation of the Anthony Hope novel's Prisoner of Zenda. The movie was in fact a television film directed by Stefan Scaini. The other movie that he Co starred was Fear, a vehicle for actress Reese Witherspoon and actor Mark Wahlberg. The movie was a psychological thriller directed by James Foley.
His most notable roles from then to come in the 2000’s. He plays Chuck Hasboro in the movie Elizabethtown. The film is a romantic comedy directed by Cameron Crowe. Also, recently, he played the role of the Recruiter in the hugely popular Marvel Studios film Deadpool.
