Kellie Martin

Kellie Martin was born on 16th October, 1975 in Riverside, California. Her birth name is Kellie Noelle Martin. Her mother's name is Debbie and she works as a kindergarten teacher. Her father's name is Doug Martin, who is a retail executive and department store buyer. Her parents got divorced in 1992. She had a younger sister, Heather, who unfortunately died in 1998 due to Lupus.

Early Years

Kellie began working at a young age. She was lucky enough to have get an audition for a TV show when she was just seven years old. Kellie's aunt worked as a nanny for the famous actor Michael Landon and helped to take care of his children. Because of her relationship with Michael, she was able to secure an audition for Kellie to appear in a television show Michael produced called Father Murphy. She performed very well at the audition and was able to get a guest spot on the show. Then a few years later, at the age of eleven, she was a contestant during Young People's Week on the television show, Card Sharks which was hosted by Bob Eubanks.

Education

She went to Yale to complete her studies by quitting one of her TV series ER, in 1994 and got graduated with a degree in art history. She studied acting with Diane Hardin, who is the mother of Melora Hardin.

Career Experience

From that point, she went ahead to show up in an unfaltering series of films and TV ventures, including, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, Highway to Heaven, My Two Dads, Troop Beverly Hills, The Hogan Family, Charles In charge, Jumpin Jack Flash, Mr. Belvedere, Thirty Something, and Baywatch. After which she was offered a role, which will make her a commonly recognized name, as Rebecca Thatcher on Life Goes On, in 1989. After the show ended in 1993, she worked on the series Christy, then played as a co-star in ER and afterwards played a role in Army Wives. She also worked in the TV series known as Mystery Woman.

She is known for her work in several series, like, Rebecca Thatcher in Life Goes on, which she played from 1989 to 1993; as Christy Huddleston in Christy from 1994 to 2000 and then as Samantha Kinsey in Mystery Women from 2003 to 2007.

In the 90s Kellie had an extensive work history. She did a lot of voice over work for animated films and series as well. Such as Molly Tasmanian Devil on Taz-Mania, and even the voice of Roxanne, in the movie A Goofy Movie. Roxanne was the love interest of the lead character, Max. She also starred in a movie based on the book by Caroline Cooney about a teenage girl who finds out she was kidnapped as a child 13 years prior and is now being raised by her kidnappers. The movie is called The Face on the Milk Carton and it was a TV movie that aired on Lifetime network. She also starred in multiple other Lifetime network made for TV movies, such as A Friend To Die For, After the Silence, and Hidden In Silence.

In the 2000's Kellie continued her acting career by starring in numerous Hallmark Network made for TV movies. She even starred in a series of them based around a character in a series called Mystery Woman. The story was based on a story about a book store owner who goes around solving actual crimes. From 2005-07 she made 10 movies for the Hallmark channel and she even was able to direct two of the movies herself. She then went on to make numerous movies for Lifetime and Hallmark. Also doing guest spots and small roles in various television shows such as Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, The Batman, Ghost Whisperer, Mad Men, Satisfaction, Drop Dead Diva, and Army Wives.
