Leigh-Allyn Baker resides in Murray, Kentucky, with her husband Keith James Kauffman, an entertainment executive. Together, they have two sons: Griffin, born in 2009, and Baker James, born in 2012. Remarkably, in both of her pregnancies, ultrasound results initially suggested she was expecting daughters, but both times she gave birth to boys. While she had hoped for a daughter, she later appreciated that having two sons would foster a strong sibling bond.

Baker’s first television appearance was in the 1996 episode “Midseason Night's Comedy” of the sitcom Almost Perfect, where she played a character named Gina.
