Her biggest controversy came in the ninth season of the series, in which she told her then good friend Portia Williams that another cast member, Kandi Burruss and her ex husband Todd Tucker had planned to drug her and take advantage of her while she was under the influence. The controversy was called Lesbiangate by the media, and it was quite the controversy for a long while.
Parks later admitted in the finale reunion episode in season nine that she had over exaggerated  a rumor she had heard, and that her accusations were actually false. She apologized to both Portia Williams and Kandi Burruss, but understandably her actions still caused fans and media alike to be outraged at her actions of false accusations. Although the show has been confirmed for a tenth season, it is unknown as to whether Parks will be invited back on the show. 

No surprise to anyone, it looks like Phaedra Parks is back in the news again, after she wrapped up her time on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’. As per sources, Phaedra Parks raised concerns to the local police department, after receiving death threats from one of her past clients that she represented as a lawyer. Terrence Cook, a onetime rapper, seemed to have made claims that he sent a bomb via special delivery to Phaedra Parks’ office at Leonx Plaza. Soon after he was arrested, the ex rapper claimed that it was just a joke and he wanted to get back at Phaedra for not handling his case well and allowing him to be convicted and sent to jail for 12 years. Cook also apparently blamed Parks for his failed rap career.
