Background

Jessica Renee Holmes was born on November 17, 1976 in Cleveland, Ohio. The famous and beloved TV host was a surprisingly shy kid from middle school to high school in Florida. “I wasn’t that kid in the school plays or the choir. I didn’t want to have the spotlight on me at all.”

Jessica graduated from the University of Central Florida and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Radio and Television.

Marriage, Husband, and Kids

In March 2015, Jessica announced that she got engaged to her fiancé, Arie Solomon. On May 25th, 2015, she revealed publically that she was pregnant. Both announcements were made on live TV, on KTLA Morning News. Five months later, on October 8, 2015, her son Levi was born.

Career and Net Worth

Jessica Holmes' career began when she accepted a position as the co-host of the popular Nickelodeon TV series Slime Time Live in 1999. She first started as an intern before using her talent to move up to the hosting position. The show was a huge success for the Nickelodeon network as it aired for eight consecutive seasons. Part of her role as co-host was to go get "slimed" or "pied". She described her job duties during an interview: “Part of my job description was to get slimed and pied on a daily basis. You can’t really beat that for a day of work.”

Jessica told Kidz World how excited she was about Slime Time when they asked if it was her dream job to be the host, “For this point in my life, yes, it is. Because it was my first opportunity I didn't expect to be where I am - it just fell in my lap and that was the most exciting thing for me. I was just an intern here and I wanted to be on TV but I didn't know how to go about it. It's hard when you first start out because you don't know how to do it, or how to get to where you wanna go. In the future, I would love to work on a show like Regis and Kelly, The View, or The Today Show.”
