When Simone was born, he remembered that she looked very tiny in his hands and he was afraid that he might hurt her. He was impressed of how powerful little babies are and he became more confident in taking care of her.

Simone is a newly signed IMG model and was recently selected as the 2018 Golden Globe Ambassador. This title, formerly known as Miss Golden Globe, has previously been bestowed on the daughters of Sylvester Stallone, Sistine and Scarlett Stallone. Other honorees include Corinne Foxx, daughter of Jamie Foxx; Sosie Bacon, daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick and Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher. Simone’s role in the Golden Globe is considered honorary and is comprised mainly of assisting during the presentations of the awards. Simone attributed her success to her parents, saying; “I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in a household with strong role models.” It is apparent that Simone believes women should be strong. She was glad that the Golden Globes changed the title of Miss Golden Globe to Golden Globe Ambassador saying: “I’m really glad they chose to make that change because it promotes equality and is more inclusive, and those are things that I’m passionate about.”

Simone’s passion for feminism is made more vocal by many of her posts on Instagram which include quotes such as this from Atticus:  “she wasn’t looking for a knight/she was looking for a sword”, and this from Bette Davis:  “When a man gives his opinion, he’s a man. When a woman gives her opinion, she’s a bitch.” These thoughts are tempered by the thoughtful “the kindest words my father ever said to me women like you drown oceans” from Rupi Kaur and then made bold again by the simple “Females are strong as Hell.” Simone’s overall philosophy on men and relationships seems to be summed up in the following quote that she presents to the public. It is from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a Nigerian writer credited with attracting a new generation of readers to African literature, and is as follows: “Of course I am not worried about intimidating men. The type of man who will be intimidated by me is exactly the type of man I have no interest in.”

Although Simone is known for keeping a low profile, she does have 286,000 followers on social media that are made privy to her beliefs about the strength of all women. Simone quotes Sylvia Plath from “The Unabridged Journals”:  “What horrifies me most is the idea of being useless; well educated, brilliantly promising, and fading out into an indifferent middle age.” With her roots, her passion, and her beliefs, that outcome seems very unlikely for Simone Garcia Johnson.
